{"id":539,"date":"2017-02-24T16:39:25","date_gmt":"2017-02-24T22:39:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swiriwon.com\/projects\/?p=539"},"modified":"2017-03-04T14:22:36","modified_gmt":"2017-03-04T20:22:36","slug":"539","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swiriwon.com\/projects\/539\/","title":{"rendered":"Typographic Forms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Objectives<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; To become familiar with the formal characteristics of a variety of typographic families.<br \/>\n&#8211; To learn the basic design principles and relationships of form and communication<br \/>\n&#8211; To experiment and utilize a reductive design process.<\/p>\n<p>The goal of this assignment was to familiarize students with the type classifications, parts of letters, and terminologies (Carter, Day, and Meggs, pp. 29 \u2013 46).<br \/>\nIn this assignment, students became familiar with a reductive design process with typographic elements in which elements are gradually removed or altered without losing legibility. This process allows for flexibility and creation of strong shape and figure-ground relationships with type and geometric shapes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone
