Form and Application

Objectives
– To explain the basic typographic elements and rules with relationships of form, color, communication, and grid.
– To create typographic forms and reduction and utilize a reductive design process.
– To develop an ability to use composition, typographic manipulation, conceptual thinking, and creative problem-solving.

Problem Statement
The goal of this assignment is to experiment with formation development with a minimalizing typographic form to learn the process of how typography moves to form and how to add communication messages on typography. In this assignment, students will develop four steps in a process to minimalize their typography, which allows students to know how to extend their sense from the chosen word to the messages.
